Compass Box Lady Luck Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
An incredible blended malt from Compass Box. Lady Luck is a vatting of three casks, two of which were very old Caol Ilas, and the other one was a 1995 Imperial. This is an oily, aperitif style whisky, very well made!Lady Luck is a blended malt from the renowned independent bottler Compass Box. The whisky is inspired by a blend of old and young Islay malt called Serendipity, nicknamed ‘the lucky blend’ by the people at Compass Box. Lady Luck consists of a 1980 Caol Ila, a 1984 Caol Ila, and a 1995 Imperial, the closed distillery that everybody is talking about these days.
The blend matured in American white oak hogsheads and was bottled in September 2009 at 46% ABV. The label is filled with symbols of luck, such as a four-leaf clover and the Horn of Plenty. To quote the whisky makers at Compass Box: ‘All that is good in the world of whisky need not be single’. Only 754 bottles of Compass Box Lady Luck were released.
