Iwai Tradition, from Mars Shinshu’s core range, is finished in ex-Pinot Noir and Cabernet casks from Mars Winery in Yamanashi
Distilled from 70% malted barley and 30% corn
Iwai Tradition is non-age statement; aged primarily in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks (other cask types including ex-wine, port, & new oak may vary batch to batch)
The nose shows aromas of toasted oats, strawberries, and sweet cream which transition to a palate of pomegranate molasses, rosemary, and pink peppercorn with a lingering hint of cinnamon
Non-chill filtered; 40% ABV
