Description
Silvano Samaroli first started buying Scottish Whisky in 1968 and defied tradition by bottling it in new american oak as opposed to second use American or European casks. Never chill filtered, his whiskies are protected by the thick Italian glass bottles he uses, and which are now a hallmark of the brand Samaroli.
This bottling is a blend of single casks from Benriach and Glentauchers, aged for 19 years and finally bottled in 2015. The nose is fruity with peach and pear notes aplenty, and the palate is light and creamy with a delightful orange and white chocolate finish! A superb and complex bottling and one that holds its own against any single malt out there. We also happened to grab this on an amazing deal, and hence the amazing price!
