Description
100% Muscat from Richard Stávek, one of the pioneers of natural wine in the Moravia region of the Czech Republic. When Richard set out to make this wine, he found that the muscat grapes lacked sufficent sugar to continue fermentation to the point he would have liked. Being a self-sufficient, totally indigenous agriculturalist, Stavek added some of his own honey, harvested from honeycombs on his property. The very same bees that pollinate the flowers that grow in between Stavek’s vines have helped shape this unreal orange wine. Aromas of calliandra and purslane flowers, mixed with Christmas pine needles and mulled cider. A palate that is quite unlike anything you might have had, but very dry and vibrant.
